I’m speaking at the “Economic Statecraft Summit,” which Texas A&M in Washington, DC and the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies are hosting on 25 and 26 July 2024.
The sponsors are right to highlight the economic onslaught against US interests that the PRC state persistently supports. Many in Washington understand the Communist Party of China challenges US interests, but few show an appropriate sense of urgency for addressing threats that emanate from the Communist Party. In my introductory remarks, I’ll make the following points:

- We’re in a fight, now. We must chalk up more wins soon.
- We have just two areas that we can win in a time frame and at a scale that matters.
- The Communist Party of China’s access to capital.
- The Communist Party of China’s appearance of legitimacy.
